Moonray's Autobattler Goes Mobile in 2025 – Get Ready to Battle Anywhere!

Moonray, a multiplayer battle arena game, has announced the upcoming release of its mobile ‘Autobattler’ game, set to launch in Q1 2025. This game combines strategic depth and turn-based combat, giving players the tools to outsmart their opponents. The new mobile title is designed to complement Moonray’s flagship online game, which went live on the Epic Games Store

Expanding the Moonray Ecosystem

Note that the mobile Autobattler is a key step in Moonray’s long-term strategy. With its AAA game already established on PC and consoles, the mobile version will provide greater accessibility. This move allows Moonray to engage a broader audience, including mobile gamers looking for an immersive on-the-go experience.

The mobile title will integrate seamlessly with the existing Moonray ecosystem. Players can use the same digital assets, including the MNRY Token, as in the PC and console versions. This token allows players to unlock exclusive content, engage in tournaments, and earn rewards, making the mobile experience an extension of the core game.

Core Gameplay Experience

Set in a surreal, post-human world, Moonray has earned praise for its intense combat and visually stunning environments. Described by Bleeding Cool as “a Salvador Dali painting come to life,” the game combines classic combat mechanics with a striking aesthetic. PC Gamer also noted its unique world, calling it “conventional combat in an unconventional world of floating fractal sculptures.”

In Moonray Autobattler, you’ll assemble powerful squads, deploy game-changing abilities, and take on enemies in fast-paced battles. The mobile version retains the signature style of the original game, offering the same intense combat that Moonray is known for.

Seamless Blockchain Integration

Moonray also makes use of blockchain tech. Players can own and trade digital assets like NFTs, earn in-game tokens, and customize their gameplay through the MNRY Token. However, Moonray’s approach to blockchain integration is subtle. The game maintains an easy onboarding experience catered to the broader gaming community.

Yat Siu, Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, said: “The addition of a mobile game to Moonray’s immersive combat experience will broaden the game’s user base and appeal. The easy integration of blockchain technology is subtle and smart. Users familiar with blockchain wallets and purchasing crypto can elevate their gaming experience, while traditional online players can dive into the game unhindered by typical adoption barriers.”

For those interested in web3, Moonray offers a way to connect their crypto wallets and engage with the game’s economy. But these elements are optional, allowing players who prefer a more mainstream gaming experience to enjoy the game.

A Growing Universe

The Autobattler game is just one part of Moonray’s larger platform, which includes not only the AAA PC and console games but also a range of multimedia projects. Moonray has already ventured into the world of comics with Mother’s Skin, a graphic novel that expands the game’s lore and serves as inspiration for the game’s artistic direction. This novel is available in over 4,000 comic stores across North America and the UK, including major retailers like Midtown Comics and Barnes & Noble.

Moonray is also teaming up with Reel FX to develop an animated series, bringing the game’s universe to the screen. With these multimedia projects, Moonray is building a world that extends far beyond the game itself.

A Strong Dev Team and Strategic Backers

Moonray Studio is the creative force behind Moonray, with a focus on shipping immersive multiplayer battle games. The studio is backed by investors like Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, and Cardano. Whats’ more, Moonray has formed strategic partnerships with Digital Void for game development and gaming guilds like YGG, Snack Club, and Unix to drive user acquisition.

Their gaming community is growing rapidly, with over 100,000 members on its Discord channel and over 170,000 followers on X. This massive fanbase continues to grow as Moonray develops new projects and prepares for the mobile launch.

Hans Andersson, CBO and co-founder of Moonray, is excited about the upcoming release. “The Autobattler mobile game will allow us to vastly expand our user base and playtime by providing access to gamers who cannot play the AAA version and allowing users to play on-the-go,” said Andersson. “We’re super excited to progress along our roadmap and build out the Moonray ecosystem further.”

The Moonray Autobattler game will go live on Android, iOS, and PC in 2025. Be sure to sign up here to stay informed.
