Developer Cosugames has officially launched the Christmas Season for base-building third-person shooter Deverse World, giving eligible players the opportunity to enjoy a holiday-themed blockchain gaming experience while preparing to jump into a free mint for NFT crates on Immutable zkEVM.
What Is the Deverse World Christmas Season?
The Christmas Season is a closed beta test which brings the festive spirit to the strategic third-person web3 game in the form of winter weather and snowy terrain while unlocking base upgrades to give players more ways to fortify their stronghold. You can create your own base on a procedurally-generated floating isle and raid bases made by other players. Raiding can be done solo or in 2-player co-op, earning various resources and rewards to top the leaderboard, which might have a surprise for the highest-ranked players.
Next to adding a holiday atmosphere, this special season also introduces limited-time Christmas Crates that contain a variety of unique seasonal items. You can only get these crates during this event in the form of a free mint that will start on December 12th and end on December 26th, according to the launch trailer. The mint will take place on Immutable zkEVM, and details on supply are not available at the time of writing. There is no official mint page yet, and it is likely that it will only be available to players with access to this closed beta. There will however be various giveaways hosted by the game’s partners across Discord and X that you can participate in for a chance at winning a spot for the free mint. After the free mint, which consists of 2 stages, there will be a public mint as well.
Each Christmas Crate is guaranteed to give you exclusive rewards, which may include various decorations, elemental weapons, characters, and holiday-themed weapon skins. All of these assets can be used in-game. Exact drop rates are not known, but the list of festive items you can actually get is available, and so is their visual appearance.
Here are all the assets that have a chance of dropping when opening these crates:
- Christmas Decorations
- Candy Cane
- Christmas Tree
- Snow Globe
- Snowman
- Exclusive Christmas Gun Bundle
- Christmas Rifle
- Christmas Sniper
- Christmas MG
- Elemental Character Collection
- Desert
- Forest

- Snow
- Elemental Weapons Collection
- Machine Guns (MG Desert, MG Forest, MG Lava, MG Snow)
- Rifles (Rifle Desert, Rifle Forest, Rifle Lava, Rifle Snow)
- Snipers (Sniper Desert, Sniper Forest, Snipe Lava, Sniper Snow)
You can check out what all these items look like by heading to the relevant section in the official documentation and clicking on the specific item category you’d like to check out.
This season started on December 3rd and does not have a specific end date. It’s the second season for the game’s early access period, with the first one being Season 0, which launched near the end of August and ended in October.
How to Play Deverse World Christmas Season
While the game is freely available for anyone to download on Windows through the Epic Games Store, you will still need to unlock access to participate in this season due to it being a closed beta. If you missed out on the game’s inaugural season and would like to jump into this one, you will need to either get an Access Code or own a qualified NFT.
To acquire an Access Code, you will either have to be lucky to win a giveaway from one of the studio’s partners or ambassadors on Discord or X, or you can ask for an Access Code. To ask for the Access Code, simply head on over to the game’s official Discord server, get the Snowpal role in the #get-roles channel, and then open a ticket in the #ticketing channel to contact the team and see if you’re lucky enough to be granted access. If you manage to get the Access Code, you should then submit the code over on the game’s official website, where you will also have to create a closed beta account using Immutable Passport or your Epic Games profile.
Alternatively, you can play this closed beta test by owning an NFT from one of the following collections:
- Beam Celestial Isles
- Kromatic Isles
- Zone Nine Foundation Pass
- Alter Ego Hunters
- Castle of Blackwater
- Socials Rising
If you own one of these NFTs, simply go to the official website, select the collection your asset belongs to and verify ownership by connecting your MetaMask wallet. You can then proceed to sign in via your Epic Games profile or Immutable Passport, creating an account that will allow you to play Deverse World during this Christmas Season.
