DeFi Kingdoms has launched a new gameplay element for players of all levels. It’s a Player versus Environment (PvE) feature where players will send their heroes on missions, quests, and challenges. The heroes will cross through dynamic environments facing AI-controlled enemies. Portals in DeFi Kingdoms are designed for better inclusivity and ensure players learn and develop their game, enhancing through all skill levels.
Patrols Presents A New Way for Players to Play DeFi Kingdoms
Patrols will soon go live on DeFi Kingdoms, representing a strategic combat system where even entry-level players will get to experience fighting throughout the gameplay. Just as DeFi Kingdoms is built to deliver an immersive experience, it has something for everyone.
Patrols are basically commander-controlled sequences where the former commands their legions to the interiors of the map. The heroes will engage with lower-level enemies. Players can send their heroes of levels 1 to 9, which is an accessible entry point for all, especially newcomers to the game.
The players can control their adventures through this game mode in three segments: levels 1 to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 9. Portals are built to introduce players to a strategic combat system while offering a choose-your-own adventure sort of gameplay mechanics. As new players gain entry into Portals, they better understand the combat system. Regularly playing will help players build the necessary skills to tackle more enemies as they progress.
Working through their levels, the players learn a key skill at every level. Once they are skilled enough, the players are eligible to enter other in-game conquests like Colosseum Duel, among others.
The game progresses as players make their own decisions, which adds more depth and replayability to the game. The fact that players can make decisions implies they are in control of how their hero moves ahead.
Last but not least, Patrols players will also receive exciting rewards, including common gifts to unique NFTs and tokens.
Metis, in an official announcement, shared on Twitter that the Patrols PvE system will be exclusively available on Metis Layer 2 Network. It’s a strategic move ahead, which enhances the partnership between DeFi Kingdoms and the Metis, ensuring the user has a smooth onboarding experience.
How to Play Patrols in DeFi Kingdoms?
Patrols aren’t available to play yet, but once launched for the public, they can be played just as players enter the DeFi Kingdoms platform. Once logged in, commanders who control their heroes can send out units to the interiors of the map, where they will fight a wide range of enemies.
It depends on the players if they want to collect their reward at the end of the level and move out or continue onto the next patrol, where they will face more enemies and get to learn new skills as well. Complete higher level patrols will also increase the reward levels.
Patrols are limited to players until Level 9. Once a player crosses level 9 to reach Level 10, they can participate in other skill-heavy conquests and challenges.
