Mocaverse and SK Planet have entered into a partnership to deliver blockchain-powered features to SK Planet’s community. To deliver new digital experiences, SK Planet will use Mocaverse Realm SDK and Moca coin to attract and onboard new users into the web3 ecosystem. Mocaverse is the digital flagship web3 platform associated with Animoca Brands, and SK Planet is South Korea’s leading information communication and technology (ICT).
Plans to Onboard 28 Million SK Planet Customers
SK Planet manages OK Cashbag, which is the country’s largest loyalty program application and is used by more than half of the population. With the partnership, Mocaverse Realm SDK will onboard 8 million KYC-verified users of SK Planet, giving them a single login entry point, a unified digital identity, and a reputation stack starting January 2025.
Once implemented, the users can accumulate, own, and transfer assets across digital ecosystems and platforms compatible with SK Planet and Mocaverse. In an impressive feat, the partnership means SK Planet’s community can tap into the network effects across Animoca Brands ecosystem, which includes;
- 540 portfolio companies
- Moca Network’s 80+ partners
- Realm SDK partners like One Football and MyAnimeList
This means both platforms can effectuate the interaction of a combined user base of 250 million active users on different platforms and provide priority access. These users can not only achieve seamless transactions but also access a variety of web3 experiences like playing games, IP-based products, services, and access to sports and music assets.

MOCA Coin to Become a Key Utility Asset for Both Platforms
One of the terms of this strategic partnership is that SK Planet will adopt MOCA Coin, the foundation crypto token of Mocaverse, as the main utility token for the former organization’s internet services. This makes MOCA Coin the first and only crypto token in South Korea to be used to access a key service in the country’s digital infrastructure.
In addition to serving a utility purpose, MOCA coin will also be used for distributing rewards onboarding rewards on different SK Planet applications like OK Cashbag, Syrup, and others.
