One month after the last update, Beyond Human has just unveiled an update 2.9, featuring a free-to-play version of the game open for two weeks. The new update also brings new subscription access and a new Recruit Avatar Class. A referral bonus system is introduced, and the update gives 10% paid subscriptions for life to all users referring people to join Beyond Human.
The Trial Period of Beyond Human
Starting October 23, 2024, Beyond Human’s Update 2.9 went live, and it brings a host of new features and capabilities for the community. Starting with the free trial, users, after creating an account on the game’s server. It’s essential to connect through a Discord account, so those without a Discord account must create one first to register for the trial.
During the trial period, users don’t need to connect a wallet and immediately join the game through Discord. Registered players can play two games and get access to complete Grid Game functionality. Among the in-game functionalities that were earlier enabled only for Founder Avatar NFT owners is allocating Prosperity Grant to a land plot. At the same time, players can receive COGS from other players, but they can’t be transferred.
The referral bonus is among the most important updates added to the game. When referrals join a game using an existing player’s link, the referring player will earn points that will improve their position on the Social Wall Leaderboard. In addition to this, the referring player will also receive 10% of the monthly subscription fee for as long as the referrals are active.
A Subscription-Based Access to the Game
After the trial period ends, those who wish to continue playing the game can buy a subscription for 0.0001, which comes out to about $2 a month and gives access to 5 games. However, users who already own a Founder Avatar NFT don’t need to buy a subscription.
Some exclusive aspects of those who buy a subscription include;
- Subscriber Role on Discord
- Ability to buy and use SYNCs
- Access to future benefits
While these facilities are available, those with a Founder Avatar NFT will also need a subscription if they want to continue playing the game with the same recruit.
Recruit from a Wide Range of Avatars
For recruiting avatars, Beyond Human players can choose from 6 designs (3 male and 3 females). At this point, all attributes of recruits are unknown, except for knowing their class and sex.
These recruits are only available during the trial period, but in Grid Game, users can play with the same recruit for two weeks. Differentiating between recruits who are in the trial period and those in subscription mode is made easy with color categorization, where a yellow background means the recruit is in the trial period and a gray background means they are used with subscription.
Additional Notable Updates in the New Version
In addition to the changes made to Avatars and gameplay, Beyond Human’s version 2.9 has made changes to the account page layout and comes with a new inventory page. For a better gameplay experience, players who join the game with a referral sign-up link receive 100 COGS as a bonus.
Ever since the new update went live, the number of permitted Prosperity Grant donors for a land plot has increased to 10 donors for standard plots and 40 for large plots. Lastly, new players will now have a better onboarding experience.
