Pixion Games has announced that it is officially migrating its action RPG strategy hybrid Fableborne from Avalanche over to the Ronin blockchain, while gearing up to launch Adventures Season 3 on November 20th.
Why Is Fableborne Migrating to Ronin?
The decision to join Sky Mavis’ gaming-focused chain comes after “months of planning and consideration,” according to this week’s Discord announcement by the studio’s founder, who shared a couple of key reasons as to why they’re making this move, which represents one of many migrations that have been taking place across the blockchain gaming space during this year.
The announcement lists 4 reasons crucial to this switch. These including having a shared mission, global expertise, infrastructure for growth, and a growing, passionate web3 gaming community.
Just as Ronin wants to onboard millions of players into web3, so too does the team want to create a “flagship mobile game played by millions around the globe,” which they believe can be achieved through this new partnership. Not only is the network’s infrastructure beneficial to delivering a quality web3 gaming experience, but Ronin’s global expertise is key to helping the game continue to grow across the whole world in regions the studio isn’t familiar with, while in turn also helping the network grow into areas the developers know more about. This partnership also brings access to “on-chain and off-chain resources” that contribute to the growth and accessibility of the free to play game. Last but not least, Pixion Games is excited to join the existing Ronin community, a stable playerbase from whom they have seen the “passion, commitment, and energy” first hand. With this migration, the community can look forward to seeing exclusive new “events, rewards, and gameplay experiences” to enjoy as the team sets off on what is the “beginning of an incredible collaboration”.
“To the Ronin community: we are absolutely thrilled to join you! Web3 provides teams with a new design space to build and create new gameplay experiences we have yet to see. Your energy, dedication, and love for Web3 gaming inspire us, and we can’t wait to build, play, and grow alongside you.
A huge shoutout to the Ronin team as well. Your support has been incredible, and we’re beyond excited to be working with such an experienced and passionate group. This is just the beginning of what we believe will be an epic partnership.”

The last season, Fableborne Adventures Season 2, took place back in August this year and allowed players to play to airdrop for free in 2 new events. That season successfully attracted more than 100k+ players, so it will be interesting to see the player numbers for what will be the first season on one of the most popular blockchains for crypto gaming.
