Following the end of L3E7’s September alpha test, the team has now announced that the L3E7 Guardians NFT mint will start on October 21st at 12 PM UTC+8 while revealing everything you need to know about this upcoming collection.
What Are L3E7 Guardians?
L3E7 Guardians is an avatar NFT collection for the L3E7 cyberpunk metaverse. The artwork is inspired by characters from the web3 game and consists of traits such as hair, ears, eyes, headgear, clothing, and more to make each avatar have a unique appearance, and you can check out how the art creation process works in this official tweet. Owning an NFT from this 5000-avatar collection will give you licensable IP within the game, access to special in-game rewards, exclusive access to Stardust and $L3E7, as well as the ability to unlock Stardust through staking your avatar. Let’s look into all this utility in more detail!
Guardian NFT Utility
By owning this gaming avatar, you are granted licensable IP within the anime-themed ecosystem, giving you full ownership over your NFT, the ability to have it licensed for in-game use, and the opportunity to receive shared earnings from future ecosystem revenue that is generated from licensed avatars.
Next to having a stylish anime-like 2D PFP as your web3 identity, this NFT also comes with in-game utility in the form of premium in-game perks. These include having an exclusive in-game avatar, access to free character summons, exclusive game assets, Stardust boosters, and more bonus perks not revealed at the time of writing.
Last but not least, holders can get exclusive access to the Stardust in-game currency, as well as to the upcoming $L3E7 token. Specifically, owners unlock access to the $L3E7 private holder round, but also receive a token airdrop, with the exact percentage not revealed in the official utility post.
Holders will also be able to stake their NFTs to earn Stardust credits and Treasure Chests. The developers have allocated 3% of $L3E7 to be distributed for unlocked Stardust throughout various playtests, so the more Stardust you earn through staking, the more tokens you are likely to earn. An unspecified percentage of tokens have also been allocated to rewards you get from opening Treasure Chests. To increase your staking rewards, you can get exclusive reward multipliers by staking Guardians together with L3E7 Genesis Worlds, which are early access passes that let you participate in various test sessions while also gaining shareholder rights to the game, allowing you to get a piece of the game’s long-term gains while enjoying benefits such as airdrops and in-game rewards. You can find them as Ethereum assets on OpenSea and Blur, with the latter marketplace having a lower floor price of 2.41 $ETH at the time of writing.
How the L3E7 Guardians NFT Mint Works
From October 21st to October 23rd, the game’s community will have a chance to participate in the mint across multiple phases, with a 4th phase allowing minters to claim their NFT. The total supply of the collection is 5000, and the mint price is 0.1 $ETH per NFT, with both supply and price determined by voting results from Worlds holders! Out of the 5000 supply, 3300 will be available for minting. For the rest of the supply, 600 are reserved for holders of Worlds NFTs (more info at the bottom!), with 500 going to the treasury, and another 500 going towards the marketing reserve and in-game rewards, while a 100 NFTs are allocated for investors, custom Guardians, and cosplay contest winners.
The mint consists of the following 4 phases:
- Luckylist Deposit
- Guaranteed Mint
- Luckylist Raffle
- Claim & Refund
The Luckylist Deposit phase starts on October 21st at 12 PM UTC+8 and will last for 24 hours, allowing users with lucky whitelist spots to deposit 0.1 ETH per NFT for a chance at winning an avatar, with earlier deposits getting a higher chance of winning. If you have multiple lucky whitelist spots, you can deposit multiple times. You can’t withdraw your ETH after you deposit it though, but you can get a refund in the 4th phase.
The second phase is the Guaranteed Mint, an 8-hour period starting on October 22nd at 12 PM UTC+8 for users with guaranteed whitelist spots to participate in by minting with 0.1 ETH per NFT. You can mint multiple NFTs if you have a couple of guaranteed whitelist spots, and in this phase you do actually get the NFT right after you mint it.
Those who participated in the first phase can look forward to seeing the results in the Luckylist Raffle, which starts on October 22nd at 3 PM UTC+8 and lasts for 16 hours. If you’re among the winners, then you’ll be able to claim your NFT in the 4th and final phase.
The Claim & Refund phase is a 30-day period starting from October 23rd at 12 PM UTC+8, during which participants of the first phase who won the raffle can manually claim their minted asset. Avatars that don’t get claimed during this period will go to the game’s treasury. Everyone who didn’t win the raffle should get their ETH automatically refunded within 24 hours from the start of this phase. Once this refund process is over, all of the minted NFTs will become tradable.
Holders of L3E7 Worlds will also be airdropped Guardians NFTs in the final phase. A snapshot is planned to take before the 4th phase begins, with 1 Worlds NFT awarding you with 1 Guardians airdrop. If you want to participate in this mint to own a piece of this upcoming new NFT collection, then getting a Worlds NFT is one way to do that. By doing so, you’ll also benefit from a ‘gain-sharing mechanism’ where Worlds NFT holders get 20% of the profit the developers make from this mint!
A wallet checker will be set up soon to see if you have an eligible whitelist spot. If you don’t, then you might still be able to get a lucky WL spot by taking part in community events, raffles, giveaways; creating art or content, and promoting L3E7, a 3D location-based service game, across social media platforms. According to the instructions from the game’s official Discord server, you can also exchange a certain amount of the server’s points, $NEXALIUM, for the lucky whitelist role. $NEXALIUM is earned by taking part in events and contests posted in the minor announcement section of the server. If you get the role for the lucky whitelist spot, then you stand a chance of getting a guaranteed whitelist spot by bidding for it in the auctions channel using $NEXALIUM.
