Legend of Arcadia, a blockchain strategy card game backed by Animoca Brands, OKX Ventures, and more, is now officially live on mobile devices as a free to play title in which you can play to earn the new $ARCA token.
What Is Legend of Arcadia?
Legend of Arcadia is a casual strategy game in which players set up a team of up to 5 toy-like heroes to embark on idle battles. As you watch your heroes battle it out, you can tap on their cards to activate their Ultimate skill, or turn on the Auto option have the game do it for you. Each character has their own Ultimate power you can use during a match to potentially turn the fight in your favor.
Opening the game for the first time will let you create an account using Google, Twitter/X, Discord, email, WalletConnect, and Bybit Wallet, giving both web2 and web3 native gamers accessible ways to jump in and start enjoying strategic play and earn gameplay. Using a social sign-in option will lead to the automatic creation of a wallet, a seamless process made possible thanks to non-custodial infrastructure, Web3Auth.
As you wait for the initial season to begin, you can progress your way through the PvE Adventure mode using the free hero you get to summon after the tutorial, unlocking another free summon once you clear enough stages. Summoning more heroes afterwards requires having enough White Ore, which is earned by sending NFT characters to the idle Mining mode, as free ones do not seem to quality. When you try to place a hero in an empty mining slot, the game will give you links to its official marketplace where you can buy specific hero NFTs using ETH on Base, as well as Gacha Balls that give you a random character.
From November 6th to January 14th, 2025, the developers are hosting the Neo Epoch Gacha Ball NFT Sale, which has up to 100k Gacha Balls up for grabs for 0.01 ETH per NFT, and opening one will give you a unique Toy Hero from a certain timeline.
Every Adventure chapter has its own story and number of stages to beat. The more stages you beat, the more EXP you can get idly every minute. Make sure to claim them in less than every 12 hours, as idle rewards can only accumulate by up to 12 hours. Idle rewards depend on both your progress in the Adventure mode, but also on your VIP rank. You can get VIP status by staking $ARCA tokens.
Each hero differs in appearance, class, faction, ultimate ability, rarity, and stats such as attack, defense, and more. By using the EXP that you collect from idle rewards, you can level up the positions you place your heroes in before starting a battle. By upgrading these stands, your hero will be able to have better stats when placed on it. Whichever hero you place there will inherit the level of that stand, meaning the level of your heroes actually depends on the level of the hero stands. You can however upgrade NFT Toy Heroes and equip them with varied gear to increase their stats further and improve their mining efficiency.
How to Play to Earn $ARCA in Legend of Arcadia
The blockchain game utilizes a seasonal tournament system, and for the first season, which begins on November 14th and ends on January 7th, 2025, you will be competing in what is referred to as the Toy Brawl, where you can collect Toy Brawl Coins by defeating toy fighters from different timelines. Collect as many of these as you can to climb to the top of the Brawl Coin Leaderboard, which contains exclusive Badge NFTs, unique Avatar NFTs, and a prize pool of 415k $ARCA tokens. The better your ranking, the more prizes you’ll get, with the top 10,000 players eligible for a share of the token reward pool.
Outside the leaderboard-based rewards, you can play to earn $ARCA tokens by collecting White Ore and Obsidian. These resources can be gained by sending NFT Toy Heroes to various game modes, which include the Mining mode for White Ore, and the PvP Arena and World Boss modes for Obsidian. By combining 50 White Ore and 1 Obsidian, you can mint 1 $ARCA token.
What Is the $ARCA Token?
The $ARCA token is an earnable utility token in Legend of Arcadia that just recently launched on 8 different exchanges on November 4th, the same day TGE took place. With this token, players can get VIP status by staking and locking their tokens for a certain time period. Your VIP level varies depending on the number of tokens staked, while getting VIP status unlocks exclusive benefits such as increased EXP, higher Mining rewards, revenue sharing from the NFT marketplace, and potentially VIP-only modes and more in the future. Holders can also participate in governance and spend $ARCA on NFT Toy Hero traits as well as on customizing the NFT’s appearance. Join the Legend of Arcadia Launch Celebration Event
The web3 game launched on Android and iOS devices via the Play Store and App Store respectively on November 7th, and to celebrate this official launch, the developers are giving out unique redemption codes for the first 7 days. There is a new code you can redeem each day to get various in-game items to give you an early boost and welcome gift for this new Base-powered mobile game. As of writing, 3 codes have been revealed so far: Adventure, Mining, and Labyrinth. All of them can still be redeemed at the time of writing. To redeem your code, tap on your profile icon in the top left corner of the game’s main screen, then head to Settings, where you will find a field to enter in your gift code.
