Monster-taming RPG Zeeverse is having an NFT sale this Friday, September 6th, at 12:00 UTC, when players will be able to buy an NFT chest in-game that contains guaranteed assets with potential for getting more rare items.
NFT Sale Details
The NFT in question for this sale is referred to as Mr. Block’s Chest of Wondrous Oddities. While the total supply of this chest is 666, only 300 will be up for grabs in the game itself, as that is the amount of supply still remaining. The price of one chest is 666 $MAGIC (~$216), and the tokens need to be in your Treasure wallet to successfully make your purchase. There is no limit to the number of chests a wallet can buy, but you are only able to buy one chest at a time, so no bulk purchases, requiring players to make a separate transaction for each chest.
To participate in the sale, players will need to head in-game to a new island that is found close to the regular Dungeon entrance. Those who do buy a chest will be able to open it once update v0.25.0 gets released, with a Discord announcement stating that the update “arrives earlier,” which I guess either means earlier than planned, or perhaps a day before the sale starts. Update v0.25.0 has been in the works for a while, with an announcement mid-August delaying the sale and chest opening to the end of August. Looks like all of it is finally happening now early September, with the update set to reveal Lapsa’s and a new armor set while also adding in a new feature referred to as Stash. Stash is an overhaul of the inventory system that gives everyone 20 inventory slots while adding auto-fishing and auto-cooking capabilities for players to use, according to a recent AMA.
What’s In Mr. Block’s Chest?
So, what’s included in this chest? According to the details revealed in the game’s official Discord server, Mr. Block’s Chest is guaranteed to include a Level 1 Lapsa (Neutral), and 1 of 6 types of Evolution Stone, meaning there’s a total of 111 Evolution Stones for each type. The Evolution Stone is what you need to evolve a Lapsa alongside 150k $VEE, so you won’t need to sacrifice 2 other Zees to improve your Lapsa, which does seem to mean you get a pair of Lapsa’s included in the chest, according to messages from one of the team’s members in the Discord server.
Next to these guaranteed assets, you also have an unspecified chance of getting 1 item when opening a chest. This will be either an Epic or Legendary item, with the sale said to feature 333 Epic items and 33 Legendary ones. It’s not specifically stated what this item could actually be, but if the info on the whitepaper is still relevant, then it seems that an Epic item could include a Rugged Fishing Pole, a weapon called The Claw, or equipment such as a Bird Person Mask, Bird Person Top, or Bird Person Bottom. As for Legendary items, the only one listed in documentation is an Enchanted Fishing Pole. By getting one of the fishing poles, you are basically unlocking access to potentially catching different types of fish only available to these fishing poles, so getting an Epic version of a fishing pole unlocks 3 types of Epic fish, while a Legendary fishing pole lets you catch 3 Legendary fish alongside all other types.
In other Zeeverse-related news, a new Telegram game called Zeeverse Mini launched last month as part of their Play to Airdrop Phase 1 campaign, giving the best players possibly the chance of winning an airdrop for their upcoming $ZEEV token, for which TGE is planned to take place either in Q3 or Q4 2024.
