Play to Airdrop $ELDE in Elderglade’s Telegram Game

Elderglade, a play and earn AI-driven fantasy universe by blockchain game developer W3Forge, now officially has its own mobile game live since September 23rd on Telegram with a prize pool of 10 million $ELDE tokens up for grabs ahead of TGE.

How to Play and Earn in Elderglade’s Mobile Game

In this retro-inspired blockchain game, players compete against each other through matches revolving around match-3 gameplay to earn points. Create chains of 3 items or more and form combos to get the highest score that you can in order to outscore your opponent and win the match. While every match has a time limit of 1 minute, you also actually have a limited amount of moves you can make, so once you and the opponent both run out of moves to make, the match will end and the winner will be determined based on the score you’ve managed to gain. This makes each move feel more tactical as you try to create bigger combos to get a higher score. Winning a match lets you collect all the points you’ve gained in it, while a loss lets you receive 1/5 of the points you scored.

Everyone starts off with 10 energy that is used to play matches, consuming 1 energy per match. You can wait for it to recharge, with 1 energy added back every hour. It’s also possible to spend points to fully recharge it, and you can also use 1 free daily booster to instantly restore your energy back to maximum limit. Other boosters require spending points. There are 3 different boosters you can buy. One booster increases your maximum energy limit by 1, while the second one adds +1 to the amount of energy regenerated per hour, and the last one boosts your point earnings for each win and loss. These boosters can actually be continuously upgraded, with each new level of course costing more points but providing you with more benefits as a result.

Alongside earning points from playing fast-paced strategic matches, you can also get more points by completing daily in-game missions, doing social tasks, climbing your way through tier-based leaderboards, referring friends, and even passively by buying upgradable farm cards with your earned points. Leaderboards are based on the number of points you have, so the more points you earn, the higher tier you are in, leading to more bonus points to be rewarded with. You can start playing for free by launching the game through the Telegram link found in the official announcement. It works on the desktop version of Telegram too, and launching the web3 game will let you choose whether to create an account using your email address, or simply via your Telegram profile.

A total prize pool of 10 million $ELDE tokens is up for grabs for an unspecified number of players, so you’ll want to get as many points while you can for a chance at winning a bigger share of tokens. No specific end date is available for this play to airdrop campaign at the time of writing.

What Is the $ELDE Token?

The $ELDE token is the upcoming earnable and utility ERC-20 token of the Elderglade economy. It will be possible to earn and use it in a variety of activities in the upcoming retro-style PvPvE extraction looter game of the same name.

According to the whitepaper and the image above, players will need the token to access player-owned Wilderness NFTs, as well as use it for engaging in various different turn-based encounters. As you explore the wilderness, you do have a chance of finding the same token scattered randomly throughout the map in various locations, so you potentially have a chance of extracting out from the wilderness with more tokens collected than spent on the entry fee. Tokens not claimed after an encounter are taxed by a system fee and collected by wilderness owners.

Outside of the AI-powered wilderness map, players can spend $ELDE tokens in towns on equipment, on healing characters, and more. All assets in the game are NFTs, so champion characters, equipment, and various other items can be traded in an in-game marketplace using the native $ELDE token. If you own a Tavern NFT, you can earn a share of $ELDE tokens that players spend on recruiting/minting characters. Staking $ELDE tokens improves the effectiveness of the property NFTs that you own, and you can earn some special NFTs too that will let you recruit new heroes in taverns for more gameplay depth.

Based on the current roadmap, two alpha stages are planned for Elderglade from Q4 2024 to Q1 2025 alongside a Wilderness NFT sale, the launch of the in-game marketplace, and much more. A beta version of the full game will follow in Q2-Q3 2025, as well as a free to play mode, an introduction to free to earn items, the addition of an off-chain currency and much more, with the full release also scheduled to take place at some point in that time period. The TGE date will be announced in the future. Join the alpha waitlist now on the game’s official website using your web3 wallet, Twitter handle, and email address.
