The first official beta season of free to play hero shooter Citizen Conflict is now officially live with a host of new limited-time, meme-themed NFT rewards to earn.
What’s New in Citizen Conflict Season 1?
Season 1 of Citizen Conflict introduces enhanced visuals for lootboxes and the prizes within them while delivering new meme-based content that include new weapon skins, hero skins, Sprays, and Masks. Alongside all this is the introduction of a new crafting feature: the NFT Parts system.
For this season, there are 3 different rarities of lootboxes for players to acquire in different ways. The rarer the lootbox, the more rewards you get from opening it:
- Common (Green) lootbox – Contains one reward drop
- Rare (Blue) – Contains 2 drops
- Epic (Purple) – Contains 3 drops
The rewards you can earn in lootboxes include Sprays, Masks, Shards, and Player Icons. While Weapon Shards have a chance of dropping from all boxes, Hero Shards are only available in Epic boxes. Everything else should have a chance of dropping in any loot box rarity.
Due to the core theme for this season, the Sprays you can earn all contain meme-inspired artwork that you can place on maps during matches for the laughs. Sprays also come in 3 rarity levels: Common, Rare, and Epic. Meme Masks, both quirky and scary ones can be gained from lootboxes throughout the season. They also have all 3 of the same rarities, and all of them seem to be a Universal type Mask, meaning any character can equip any of the new Masks.
If you’re looking to change your profile icon, then you might fancy some of the stylish new Player Icons, all of which are also divided into 3 different rarities.
Weapon and Hero Shards are crucial to upgrading your characters and arsenal. They can buff certain stats and even add special effects, making them potentially quite useful. As with all other assets, Shards also have 3 rarity levels, but Shards can be used for a crafting feature on the QORPO platform where you can place up to 6 Shards and roll the dice for a 1/6 chance of unlocking an NFT drop from each Shard. Every roll requires paying a blockchain gas fee, and you can use Shards of different rarities for every roll, so long as they’re all either Weapon Shards or Hero Shards. You can’t mix the two types together for a roll. If the roll leads to landing on an occupied slot, you’ll be rewarded with a hero or weapon variant based on the Shards used. Hero and weapon variants are unique skins that come in 3 levels of rarity and give you further ways to customize your loadout. These variants seem to only be for cosmetic purposes, and for this season, all weapon skins are said to be in a Brand New Quality Type.
Looking for a different way to collect hero and weapon skins? Then say hello to the NFT Parts system!
What Is the Citizen Conflict NFT Parts System?
The NFT Parts system is a blueprints-based feature where each hero and weapon skin is divided into 4 blueprint parts, requiring you to collect all necessary parts of a skin in order to craft it and make it usable, after which you can also mint it into an NFT.
You can collect NFT Parts by completing various challenges to level up the Battle Pass, while trying your luck by spinning the QORPO Spinner on the official QORPO website and trading blueprint parts with other players on the P2P marketplace that is accessible through the same platform. By staking $QORPO tokens through the official staking program, you can get up to 5 spins a day for the QORPO Spinner.
How to Get Citizen Conflict Season 1 Loot Boxes
Players have a chance of getting Season 1 loot boxes through the QORPO Spinner, as well as by taking part in special campaigns consisting of a variety of challenges and events. Doing daily and weekly tasks to level up your account and Battle Pass is another way to get boxes of varying rarity, and you might end up simply being lucky enough to get a Common lootbox dropped to you after the end of a match, as according to the announcement, one player has a chance of getting randomly awarded a Common box after the end of each match.
While only Season 0 loot boxes seem to be currently available on the P2P marketplace, if you want to purchase Season 1 loot boxes then you can do so by minting them as NFTs from the developers through the Rewards section of the QORPO platform. Common Lootboxes cost 1 $QORPO, Rare ones are 2 $QORPO, and Epic boxes are 5 $QORPO. You’ll need $BNB to cover gas fees.
