Alien Worlds Shipwright Challenge Open: Submit Your Starship Designs by Oct 24 for a Chance to Win 10,000 TLM

Alien Worlds, one of the leading blockchain based metaverse games, is inviting its community to engage in a new and exciting creative event, the Battlefleet Shipwright Challenge. This challenge, launched on Oct 17, 2024, is a unique opportunity for players to contribute directly to the lore of the game by creating and naming starships for the game’s popular Battlefleet Armageddon mode.

The challenge is open to all players, offering them a chance to leave a lasting imprint on the Alien Worlds universe. Participants are tasked with developing names and detailed descriptions for the game’s new starships. Based on the visuals and base stats provided by the game developers, entrants must get creative by crafting unique backstories, ship capabilities, and manufacturer histories. This event encourages creative writing and provides an interactive way for the community to engage with the game’s ever-expanding sci-fi lore.

How the Event Works

Running from Oct 17 to Oct 24, 2024, the Battlefleet Shipwright Challenge invites all players to submit their starship ideas via a Google Form. The challenge is designed to be accessible to both seasoned players and newcomers to the game. Once the submission window closes, the Alien Worlds team will narrow down the best entries to 2-3 for each starship, and from Oct 29 to Oct 31, the community will vote on their favorite submissions.

Participants in the challenge will be rewarded with special Alien Worlds NFTs, while the top submission for each starship will win the grand prize of 10,000 TLM, the game’s in game currency. This currency can be used to boost a player’s presence within the game’s metaverse.

In addition to the currency prize, the winning starships will be integrated into the official game canon, allowing players to see their creations forever etched into the game’s lore.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged based on three key areas:

  • Creativity: How original is the starship’s name and story?
  • World-Building: Does the ship’s backstory fit well within the established Alien Worlds universe?
  • Clarity and Impact: Is the description vivid and does it align with the visual aesthetics of the ship?

How the Battlefleet Shipwright Challenge Fits Into Alien Worlds

Alien Worlds, built on the WAX blockchain, offers a unique fusion of gaming and blockchain technology.  The popular web game allows players to explore a sci-fi universe filled with NFTs, in game resources, and various planets. Also, the introduction of Battlefleet Armageddon expands this universe by allowing players to engage in starship battles, adding a layer of strategic depth to the existing gameplay.
