Apeiron Drops New Apostle Mechanics with Season 3 Launch

In a major update, Apeiron, the play to earn “god game” by Foonie Magus, has launched a fresh Apostle System as part of its Season 3. This update brings exciting new features, and with a prize pool of 1 million $APRS, it’s bound to attract old and new players.

What is Apeiron?

Apeiron is a card-battling roguelite x god game. Players take on the role of a Godling, a newborn deity summoned by High Goddess Cosmos to defend the universe, or “Godiverse,” from the Mad God Chaos. As a Godling, players control Planets, harness elemental miracles, and guide their faithful followers—adorable creatures known as Doods—through the game’s expansive universe.

The New Apostle System Explained

Apostles are key characters in Apeiron, advanced Doods that evolve into heroic figures. They help players during PvE and PvP battles. In an X update by Apeiron Vtuber Astariste.ron, more details were shared about the new system:

1. Bless: Turn Apostles into Non-NFTs

The Bless mechanic is a key part of the new system. Players can now bind an Apostle NFT to a Planet NFT, turning the Apostle into a non-tradable, off-chain item. This will allow Apostles to level up their skills, which wasn’t possible while they were NFTs.

But once blessed, these Apostles are exclusive to the Planet they are bound to, meaning they can only be used in PvP on that specific planet. Moreover, these Apostles now have a lifespan of 31 days. Players must feed them souls, which are earned through PvP or PvE dungeons, to keep them active beyond this period.

2. Reforge: Bring Back Your Apostle NFTs

For those who want to return their blessed Apostles to the blockchain as tradable assets, Apeiron has launched the Reforge feature. It allows players to mint back their Apostle as an NFT, but with a twist. The cost to reforge increases depending on how many times the Apostle has been reforged. Each reforge costs 200 $ANIMA times the number of reforges. Note that the Apostle’s skills must have increased during its blessed period for it to be eligible for reforge.

3. Angelization: Mint PvE Apostles

Another exciting addition is the Angelization feature. It allows players to mint their PvE Apostles into tradable NFTs. The process is fairly straightforward, but there are a few conditions. Players must unlock all three skills of the Apostle, and there is a waiting period of seven days before the Apostle becomes mintable.

The minting cost is determined by a scaling system. For instance, the first mint costs 50 $APRS and 240 $ANIMA, but subsequent mints will increase to as much as 200 $APRS and 1440 $ANIMA, depending on how many times the Apostle’s lifespan was reset.

Free Minting Options: Dood Halo and Doodelic Wings

With that, Apeiron has introduced two free minting items—Dood Halo and Doodelic Wings. Players can obtain Dood Halo by taking part in in-game events or buying it from the shop, while Doodelic Wings are awarded through community events and Apeiron Guild War victories. These seasonal items give players a chance to mint Apostles for free, making it easier for both seasoned and new players to engage with the game.

Season 3: Big Rewards with $APRS Tokens

The new Apostle system isn’t the only reason for excitement. Season 3 has officially launched, giving players a chance to to earn 1 million $APRS, Apeiron’s main ecosystem token. This token plays a vital role in the game, being used for governance, staking, and minting NFTs. The $APRS token has become even more valuable with the introduction of new Apostle mechanics.

How the New System Impacts Gameplay

The new Apostle system adds more depth to Apeiron’s gameplay. Players now have more key decisions to make on whether they want to keep their Apostles as tradable NFTs or bind them to a Planet for skill progression. Also, the lifespan mechanic adds a layer of resource management, as players must now decide whether to invest in keeping their Apostles alive or focus on minting new ones.

PvP also benefits from this update, as blessed Apostles can only be used on the specific planet they are bound to, giving a more tactical element to PvP. With the reforge system, players have more control over their Apostles, where they can bring back skilled characters to the marketplace or continue using them for in-game advantages.
