Ashes of Mankind Revenants Drop Mint Begins September 23rd

Revenants Drop, the first PFP collection for dystopian PvPvE survival FPS Ashes of Mankind: Citadels, is going to be minted on Magic Eden on Monday, September 23rd. Here’s everything you need to know about the mint and the NFT collection of this Ultra-powered web3 game.

What Is Ashes of Mankind’s Revenants Drop?

The Revenants Drop is the first PFP collection for Ashes of Mankind that consists of 5000 unique characters that will be exclusively minted on Magic Eden via the Ethereum network.

These NFTs are said to have been made using “state-of-the-art rendering technology” and the Unreal Engine, with the characters categorized into 4 different rarity tiers: Cadet (2500), Veteran (1500), Commander (880), and Revenant (120). You won’t know which rarity tier your asset belongs to when you mint one straight away, as that is set to be revealed at some point after the mint is over, giving everyone who participates a random avatar instead on mint.

The rarity tier affects the benefits of your unique avatar. Some common in-game utility that seems to apply to each avatar though includes access to unique in-game cosmetics, access to Land plot NFTs, and the opportunity to earn $ASH tokens, the game’s main in-game currency. Below you will find an image that specifically lays down the benefits that come with each rarity tier.

Revenants Drop Mint Details

Since you can’t choose the rarity tier of your mint, there is only one mint price for this sale: $110 in ETH. Anyone has a chance of getting the rarest avatar type for the same price. A total of 5000 characters will be up for grabs on the Ethereum network using the Magic Eden marketplace. The rarity tier that makes up half of the supply is the Cadet tier, which grants holders a Skin Pack, special Discord role, a whitelist spot for the upcoming Land NFT mint, but also access to the pre-sale of the $ASH token. If you want early access to the game’s Customizer tool, then you’ll want to end up getting an avatar of the Veteran tier, which also features all the perks from the Cadet tier. Those wanting to get an $ASH airdrop will be hopeful of owning a Commander tier NFT, while the Revenant rarity tier has all of the benefits from previous tiers, plus an airdrop of the Land NFT, which seems to carry quite some significance in this web3 gaming universe, so we’ll cover its utility in a moment.

This mint does come with a whitelist phase, though it’s unclear how many spots are available, whether it’s FCFS or guaranteed, and what the exact scheduling is at the time of writing. The Ultra team however has tweeted that anyone interested can complete various Zealy quests to earn points and rank to the top of the leaderboard for potential whitelist access. A Discord announcement in the game’s official server also reveals that participants could earn $UOS tokens or a High Revenant Pass, which gives you access to the Customizer tool, and likely overall early access to the game itself.

Why Land NFTs Are Important in Ashes of Mankind

By owning a PFP from the Revenants Drop collection, you stand a chance of getting a Land NFT, either through a whitelist phase of the Land NFT mint, or simply as an airdrop if you own an avatar belonging to the rarest tier, Revenant.

In the Ashes of Mankind universe, which consists of 2 games, Empires and Citadels, Land plots are particularly important for its web3-powered economy, especially in AoM: Empires, where you get to build and trade weapons, armor, cosmetics, and more items that you can then use in the extraction MMOFPS, Citadels. Each Land plot features various important resources that you need in order to create these in-game assets, so by becoming a landowner, you get to mine tokenized resources that you can then use to craft sought-after assets, or you can also just trade the materials themselves. If you don’t want to do resource mining yourself, then you can also lease your land to someone else to do it for you, sharing the profits in the process. Land NFTs can also be upgraded by constructing various infrastructure for a better chance of uncovering hidden valuable resources, as well as for improving extraction speeds.

More info on the game’s player-driven economy can be found in the official 10-page litepaper.
