Planet Mojo, a Web3 gaming ecosystem, has revealed its decision to move from Polygon to build on Base, a Layer-2 network for Ethereum. Base, made by Coinbase, helps speed up transactions while leveraging the security of Ethereum’s mainnet.
This move comes as Planet Mojo keeps expanding its list of games, which include Mojo Melee, GoGo Mojo, Mojo Maker, and the new Prophecy of the Ancients. With that, Planet Mojo has shared a series of exciting updates for players.
The Move to Base: What It Means for Planet Mojo
“We’re thrilled to announce the Planet Mojo Ecosystem is building on Base,” said developer Mystic Moose. This move marks a strategic shift for Planet Mojo, as the Base network offers lower transaction costs, faster speeds, and interoperability across multiple blockchain platforms. Planet Mojo’s tech stack, Sumatra, will help bring multi-chain to reality and improve the future of on-chain gaming.
As such, Planet Mojo has announced a free mint event for Base Chests as part of the switch. Players can win a whitelist (WL) spot by taking part in weekly tournaments on Planet Mojo’s Discord. More WL spots will now be given out each week, going from 5 to 8, allowing more players to join. Players can also react to a special Discord post below for a chance to win a WL spot.
Also, Planet Mojo has added Coinbase Smart Wallet so players can manage their game assets with ease. On top of this, the game’s web shop now accepts $MOJO, the platform’s native token, on the Base network.
Mojo Melee Season 7: Leaves of Legend
As Planet Mojo moves to Base, players can look forward to Mojo Melee Season 7, Leaves of Legend. Starting September 12th, this new season adds lots of fresh content and gameplay boosts.
One major feature is the return of Rackmor Voortom, a strong champion last seen in Season 4. Players who missed him will be able to add this powerhouse to their team. Season 7 also brings a new fall-themed Rackmor skin for a seasonal touch.
Along with that, players will find two new SpellStones to boost their tactics, including the Resistance SpellStone, which lowers damage for nearby allies. Also, the Premium BattlePass will include new items like fresh Mojo Parts and a tintable Fall Boy Costume.
To match the Halloween season, the Planet Mojo in-game shop will get spooky updates. Players can buy tintable Skeleton and Mummy outfits, new Mojo skins, and return to the Fall Arena for a fun twist on gameplay. Thanks to community feedback, the team has made key bug fixes and game balance updates to make the gameplay smoother.
Bot Issues: Wave 3 of Summer Surge Delayed
In another update, Planet Mojo has delayed Wave 3 of its Summer Surge play to airdrop event due to an ongoing issue with bots. Making sure the event is fair is a top goal for Mystic Goose, as they are working hard to fix the bot problem before moving forward.
Even with the delay, the team is still focused on rewarding players for their efforts. Rewards for Wave 1, including $MOJO tokens, will be sent out this week. Next week, players can expect rewards for Wave 2, which include $USDC and $MOJO.
What Is Planet Mojo?

- GoGo Mojo adds a runner-style game where players use their minted Mojos to pass through levels and collect power-ups.
- Mojo Maker is a platform where players can style their Mojos with different looks, hairstyles, and gear.
- Prophecy of the Ancients will be a squad-based action RPG built with Unreal Engine 5, adding to the growing Mojo universe.
