Axie Infinity to Launch Passive Adventure Update in Homeland on September 4

Axie Infinity, the popular play to earn game is set to introduce its Passive Adventure update in Homeland on September 4, 2024. This comprehensive update introduces several new features designed to enhance the player experience. Let’s delve into the details of each aspect of this update.

Passive Adventure

The introduction of the Passive Adventure allows players to take a more active role in configuring their teams for adventures. Unlike the previous system that employed random NPC adventurers, players can now use their own NFT Axies, which they enlist at the Adventure Station.

Consequently, this direct involvement adds a previously unavailable layer of strategic planning, where each choice directly influences the outcome of adventures. Moreover, the update removes the random assignment of Axie classes, allowing players’ Axies to retain their classes throughout the adventures, which enables a more predictable and strategic deployment of Axie teams.

Combat Quality and Evolved Ratings

Combat quality for each Axie will now be directly determined by its evolved rating. This rating is a score assigned to an Axie when it evolves, with different types of collectible Axies receiving varying ratings. This change brings more utility and value to collectible Axies, as higher evolved ratings lead to better combat quality and, consequently, stronger Axies for Passive Adventures. Specifically, evolved ratings are divided into two categories:

  • Base Evolved Ratings: A static score given to a specific type of Collectible Axie upon its first evolution.
  • Part Evolved Ratings: A score that varies based on the types and number of collection parts an Axie has evolved.

AXP Earning in Passive Adventure

Axies can now earn AXP through the new Passive Adventure. The total AXP an Axie earns depends on several factors:

  • The type and power of the enemies encountered.
  • Plot type.
  • Axie’s combat quality.

If an Axie is sent out alone, it will receive all the AXP earned. In party situations, each member will receive a part of the total AXP. For example, in a party of 2, each member will receive 75% of the total AXP. In a party of 3, each member will receive 50% of the total AXP. Importantly, the AXP an Axie can earn from the Axie Adventure may be adjusted over time as developers monitor the impact of this update on the AXP system.

Adventure Fatigue

Adventure Fatigue, limits the frequency with which Axies can be sent on adventures, functioning like a stamina system. It resets daily but does not regenerate within the same day, adding a layer to how often players can utilize their Axies in adventures, preventing overuse and promoting rotational play.

Subsequently, the update introduces Battle Tickets, a crucial resource for engaging in Passive Adventures. Each plot within the game possesses a certain number of battle tickets that regenerate over time, dictating how often Axies can embark on adventures. The regeneration rate and capacity of these tickets vary by plot type and are influenced by the new Battle Ticket modifier, replacing the previous level modifiers.

Looking ahead, Axie Infinity is planning to launch Axie delegation. This upcoming feature will allow landowners to delegate responsibilities to their Axies, further expanding the game’s management aspects and providing players with more ways to engage with their properties and Axies.

Moonfall Quests Update

In conjunction with the new adventure mechanics, Axie Infinity is implementing a balance update for Moonfall quests. These quests will see a reduction in difficulty, requiring up to 50% less time to complete, making them more accessible and less time-consuming for players.

Moonfall Chest Overflow Event

To celebrate the rollout of these updates, a new event called Moonfall Chest Overflow will run from September 4 to September 18, 2024. This event aims to double the excitement by increasing the number of chests available:

  • Extra Special Chest: Availability will increase from one to two per day.
  • Premium Chest: Daily availability will jump from 50 to 100 chests.
  • Common Chest: The cap will rise from 200 to 400 chests per day.

This boost in available rewards is designed to engage the community further, encouraging players to dive deeper into Axie Infinity during the update period.
