Compete for Cash Prizes in Sorare’s Upcoming Special Events!

The football division of blockchain-powered fantasy sports platform Sorare has shared its special events calendar for the month of December, while announcing the final competition for November in which you can also earn cash prizes.

What Are the Upcoming Sorare Football Special Events for the Rest of 2024?

For the rest of the year, fans of fantasy football can look forward to “November’s Last Surprise” that is the In-Season European Champions Specialist competition for Game Week 30 (November 26th – 29th) while participating in a very busy December that will include at least 2 special events for every Game Week next to the regular core tournaments. All of these events come in varying cash prize pools that are distributed to players as rewards either in cash or $ETH.

November’s Last Surprise: In-Season European Champions Specialist

A total prize pool of $20k in cash or $ETH is up for grabs for the In-Season European Champions Specialist, which runs during Game Week 30, from November 26th to November 29th.

To participate, you need to own 4 Limited/Rare in-season cards, as well as 3 Super Rare/Unique in-season cards. You can only use players taking part in UCL games, and can only have 2 players from the same team. Teams must also have at least 2 players with an L15 average that is less than 50, but only 1 player with an L15 average above 60. Those wanting to submit 2 lineups for the event are allowed to do so.

December Events:

The final month of the year is loaded with events through which you can earn Pro Cards and cash rewards.

If you’re looking for the most reward-packed out of the bunch, then keep your eyes peeled at the one-off Classic Competition called the “Anti-Stacks Christmas Classic.” This tournament represents the largest Special Event of the month, as it features a $50k total cash prize pool that is, like before, either rewarded in cash or $ETH. It uses the Anti-Stack format, which means that the 5 players in your lineup must each be from a different team. You can only participate with one lineup, but aside from the format, there are actually no card restrictions, so you can play with cards from whichever season you want.

Next to the reward-packed classic, you can jump into the All-Star recurring special every midweek, while joining in for 2 surprise Specials: the Secret Special, and Community Vote. The Secret Special is a surprise event planned to take place for Game Week 37 (December 20th – 24th), with more details on it to follow once we’re closer to that Game Week. The Community Vote will let managers suggest and vote for the final special of the month. To do this, Sorare will post on Twitter/X to ask the community to suggest any concept that has been used since the beginning of the season, with the suggestion that gets the most likes being the one chosen for the very last event.

As for the rest of the Special Events for December, each of them lets you submit up to 2 lineups, with European Nights allowing 3 entries. European Specials have to be played with at least 4 In-Season cards, while the other events have no certain card requirements.

How to Play Sorare

Sorare is a fantasy sports platform home to officially-licensed player cards from popular football leagues, the NBA, and MLB. While you can try out the web3-powered fantasy gaming experience for free by participating in events that support free non-NFT Common Cards, but also by playing the accessible Sorare Rivals that launched on mobile earlier this year, those who want to properly put their sports knowledge to the test and reap the rewards for doing so will need to own NFT cards referred to as Pro Cards. They come in 4 different rarities for each player, and are released in limited supply for every season.

With Pro Cards, you can properly participate in a variety of competitions for a chance at winning NFT rewards, cash prizes, ETH, signed jerseys, and more. Your 5-player lineup will need to meet the event’s specific requirements, so make sure to check the rules for each competition before deciding on buying a certain NFT card.

You can start collecting digital player cards from the Premier League, Bundesliga, and more by creating an account on the platform’s official website and depositing funds to start buying and selling on the ecosystem’s official marketplace. ETH funds can be deposited and withdrawn by connecting a MetaMask wallet, or by making a card or bank transfer via Moonpay or Ramp. Alternatively, users can also set up a Cash Wallet to trade and earn rewards in cash (USD, EUR, or GBP), or choose to use both cash and ETH, while seamlessly adding and withdrawing money using bank transfer or your credit/debit card. Activating your Cash Wallet requires submitting basic user info, as well as your government-issued ID.
