MATR1X FIRE, a blockchain mobile FPS that launched a no-wipe Genesis Flame Test version in September as part of the MATR1X web3 entertainment platform, has officially announced that the Character Mining Test is set to soon return. Before this test reopens, the developers have published a preview of this upcoming new version of the web3 shooter to give the blockchain gaming community a look at all the new updates set to soon launch.
What’s New in MATR1X FIRE’s Character Mining Test Relaunch?
This release is packed with a variety of feature updates for both November and December.
For the November version, which should go live after a 4-hour maintenance on November 29th is over, the web3 game is getting a breeding feature that allows players to mint new character NFTs. Using this minting feature requires leveling up 2 characters to at least level 20 and then using $FIRE and Spark NFTs to successfully create a new tokenized character.
Also coming to the November launch is a new VIP mining mechanism that lets you level up your VIP status to get better mining rewards but also exclusive in-game items. You can level up your VIP status by collecting VIP points. These points can be earned by spending diamonds, but also by holding $FIRE tokens and skins from certain crates.
The in-game marketplace will also go live to allow players to trade NFT items such as characters, weapons, cases, and more for diamonds and $FIRE tokens. The platform’s official website is getting updated with a market system to allow players to trade Sparks, Batteries, and other NFTs.
A mining reward withdrawal mechanism is also set to be implemented. This is a 7-day freezing period that can be extended to get more rewards. The longer the freezing period, the more extra mining rewards you get.
The Teammatch Mode is officially getting added to ranked matches to give players a new way to participate in mining. When it comes to matchmaking, deathmatch matchmaking is getting a “dedicated entry point” while random mode matchmaking is changing to allow players to specify the mode they’d like to play.
The overall account system for the MATR1X system is also undergoing an upgrade to allow players to bind wallets to their platform account while having the option to login to the official website using their wallet. Wallet interaction data is said to be linked with the ecosystem’s smart contracts as “proof of rights for future activities.”

Future Updates Coming to MATR1X FIRE
In the future, you can look forward to more big updates that further enhance the blockchain gaming experience in MATR1X FIRE, while also improving the IP’s entire ecosystem in general. More info will be revealed over time, but the Medium post for the Character Mining Test teases a $MAX staking system, M1 Chain Test Network, and an “innovative” case opening mechanism as some of the major updates you can look forward to.
Holders will eventually be able to stake $MAX tokens through a new staking system that will not only reward stakers with more $MAX tokens, but also with airdrops from partnered projects. It looks like the staking system could also unlock access to more web3 games that launch on the platform.
The ecosystem’s flagship mobile FPS will eventually have the M1 Chain Test Network integrated, and so will future games on the platform as well in order to provide these titles with “robust infrastructure support.”
The mobile shooter is soon set to be updated with a new case opening mechanism that will combine the game’s cases with “Bonding Curve dynamics along with accessory economics and MEME culture” in order to reward players who open cases the earliest with “lower costs and higher returns.” The skins players get from opening cases will also be possible to convert to $MAX tokens.
