Web3 gaming studio AlwaysGeeky Games has announced the Voxie Tactics Champions Tournament, which might just be the biggest event to be happening this year for the free to play turn-based RPG, Voxie Tactics. Here’s everything you need to about this prize-packed competition, including details on the points system, reward distribution system, and all the new NFTs you can possibly earn alongside the massive token prize pool.
How Does the Voxie Tactics Champions Tournament Work?
The Voxie Tactics Champions Tournament is a leaderboard-based competition that starts on November 19th and ends on December 17th. Anyone who owns or rents out one Rare NFT can participate and play to earn as many Arena Points as possible in 28 days in order to try and get a high ranking on the Champions leaderboard to qualify for a share of the 1 million $VOXEL total prize pool.
There are 2 arenas you can battle other players in during this event: the Pro Arena, and the Extreme Arena. Each arena has its own leaderboard and points system, and thus its own prize pool as well. This means that $VOXEL rewards in these arenas have been replaced by points for the duration of this tournament. However, you do have a random chance of getting a VOXEL Bonus Bag after winning a battle. This bag could have up to 100 $VOXEL tokens, and you have a higher chance of receiving this item by winning matches with rarer Voxies and a higher Rank Tier.
The Pro Arena lets players earn Pro Points for winning PvP battles, while victories in the Extreme Arena are rewarded with Extreme Points, with each arena ranking you on their respective leaderboards. The number of points gained per battle in either arena depends not only on your Rank Tier, but also on team composition and the number of enemy Voxies you defeat as well. If you quit the battle within the first 3 minutes, you will lose points.

Due to the different entry requirements, the Pro Arena has 200k $VOXEL up for grabs, while 800k $VOXEL tokens have been allocated to the best players of the Extreme Arena. To qualify for either leaderboard, you need to collect as many Pro or Extreme Points as you can to end the tournament in the top 1500 highest-ranked players. If you have enough Pro Points to rank in the top 1500, you will earn a share of 200k $VOXEL tokens, but if you manage to win enough Extreme Points, you will be among the 1500 highest-ranked players to receive rewards from a pool that is 4 times bigger than the Pro one. You can rank your way up through both leaderboards for a chance at earning more token rewards.

If you’re using the rental system to participate, the points you earn will be shared with the asset owner depending on the split you agreed on. This means that both sides rank separately on the leaderboards.
Next to this large reward pool, which is set to be distributed during the week of January 20th, 2025, you also have a chance of earning a variety of new NFTs!
What Are the New NFT Item Rewards?
By playing during this competition, you have a chance of earning the Champions Chest, which is a new lootbox from which you can get exclusive new event items, including new Armor Sets, event pets, and possibly more. There are also new event accessories that are available for a limited time as Recipe Rewards, with one of them also possible to gain from the Champions Chest.
There are 3 new Armor Sets of Legendary rarity that you can earn not just through the Champions Chest, but also as Recipe Rewards by crafting in The Arcanist’s Forge, though not all pieces might be possible to craft. Using 2 Legendary Items and 400 $VOXEL tokens to randomly forge gives you the best chances of getting the new Armor Sets, that include the following:
- The Cerulean Dawn Light Armor Set (Enhances Intelligence and Mana)
- The Realm Keeper Medium Armor Set (Boosts Strength and Dexterity)
- The Silverstar Heavy Armor Set (Improves Resilience and Raw Power)
Next to the new Armor Sets, the Champions Chest also has a chance of dropping 2 new event pets: the Mighty Lion and Great Owl. The Mighty Lion uses the Savage Roar ability to damage enemies within a 3-tile radius, with a 50% chance of debuffing them with Fear. The Great Owl utilizes the Soothing Hoot to restore up to 50 HP and 35 MP, and even remove status effects on the same ally!
The 2 new exclusive accessories you can craft in The Arcanist’s Forge include Owl’s Feather Earrings and Lion’s Tooth of Doom. With Owl’s Feather Earrings, you get bonus movement speed, higher Intelligence, and Feather Fade, an ability that uses no mana but lets the Voxie teleport across the map and appear as invisible once per game. As for Lion’s Tooth of Doom, this accessory also buffs Intelligence, while increasing Mana and allowing you to use the Fang of Ruin ability to inflict 30 Ability Damage and bring the Doom effect upon your enemy. You can get Lion’s Tooth of Doom from Champion Chests as well, while Owl’s Feather Earrings seem to be only unlockable as Recipe Rewards.

How to Participate in the Voxie Tactics Champions Tournaments
While Voxie Tactics itself is a free to play web3 game, to participate in the Pro Arena, you need to own or rent at least one Rare NFT, and while it does seem like any Voxie of higher rarity is eligible, it’s important to note that you can only use equipment that is of Rare rarity. If you have Epic, Legendary, and Special items, you can’t use them in this arena, leading to a fairer web3 gaming experience where only Common, Uncommon, and Rare gear is allowed.
The Extreme Arena can be played by owning a Voxie NFT of any rarity, but since it does not have any gear limitations, it will be significantly more difficult to rank to the top against players with well-equipped teams. Those who manage to outwit the strongest to the very top could get rewarded very nicely. You can shop for Voxie NFTs as well as rent them through the game’s official marketplace.
