On 17th October, Project Nova’s Early Access went live, where players were allowed to experience the game firsthand. This is the first time Project Nova, a project by Revolving Games, is live for the community, even though with limited access. Giving a glimpse of the game before its full release (TBA), the early access gives a preview of how the game works, its dynamics, Sci-Fi strategy making, and much more.
Players are Invited to Enlist and Earn Rewards
Project Nova is the first of the four internal games built and managed by Revolving Games. This early access, which began on 17th October, will introduce the gaming community to the Revolving Games ecosystem of four different games. Where the gaming studio plans to unveil its entire ecosystem in the next 18 months, this early access sets the spark for what’s about to come in the future.
The early access also represents the first Revolving Games $100K ecosystem prize pool, and the pool for the early access is set at $25K. This implies where the entire prize pool associated with the Revolving Games is limited at $100K, Project Nova’s early access kicks off with $25K.
The premise to earn these rewards is that players must login daily and complete the in-game milestones to earn, which means the more someone plays, the greater chances are there to win. These winnings can also be converted into real-life assets, but more information on this conversion will be shared later.
Why Join Project Nova’s Early Access?
Early access players are the first among many to experience Project Nova Galaxy, test in-game features, and share their experiences. Developers use this experience and reviews to make changes for a better player experience. Given the game’s P2E model, players will be rewarded for their time and achievements.
According to a tweet by Revolving Games’ Co-CEO, more than 20,000 players are getting ready to become a part of Project Nova. Whether someone is playing alone or teaming up with friends, winning battles and gathering resources comes to building strategies.
A Sneak Peak into the Early Access
Project Nova’s gameplay aims to provide an immersive experience in four aspects;
- Explore: Players must discover new players and resources while avoiding hidden dangers laid in their path.
- Expand: Players are tasked to grow their empires and establish space stations while fortifying their bases. They must fight to claim other territories.
- Exploit: To grow and expand, it’s essential to manage critical resource plots and build a thriving economy to support the empire’s expansion.
- Exterminate: Fight against rival factions by leading armies into battle and amassing their resources.
While following the 4E concepts players must team up to join factions, build guilds and conquer other player’s bases. The bases are built with hangars, bays, armies, and the armory they hold. Upgrading the hangars and bays attracts Command Points.
The four factions are Vanguard, Eldaring, Tyrannis, and Ograx. Each faction has a different ambition, lifestyle, and purpose in the game. Players need to understand each faction’s unique abilities and then strategize their gameplay accordingly.
Player progress and gameplay are depicted through a hexagonal grid (see image below), showing which players or teams control which part of the galaxy, depicting territory control.
This player dashboard also shares information like resources (at the top of the screen), including water, gas, and titanium. How these elements are gathered, and their importance is revealed during the gameplay. There’s also an in-built chat function allowing players to interact with each other and build strategies together.
Where early access allows players to experience all these and many more in-game elements, it’s also a limited opportunity to help decide the future course of action for Project Nova.
