Animoca Brands backed preventive healthcare app Universal Health Token (UHT) has launched a new quiz-driven Telegram game called ‘Health Adventure by UHT’ in partnership with its marquee partner GOQii, offering an easy way-in to the web3 ecosystem for the fitness app’s 450,000 monthly app users.
Universal Health Token (UHT) has recently gained attention, especially after the success of its founder NFT collection within its community. The web3 project gamifies healthcare by integrating with its partner, GOQii, rewarding users for healthy behaviour. These rewards can be spent on digital services and physical goods in the healthcare domain. UHT’s team shared that GOQii users are already engaging with the token as a soft currency, and with the upcoming token launch, they will soon be able to transact and exchange it into fiat rewards.
With over 5 million downloads and ten years of experience combining one-on-one personal coaching with fitness tracking technology to help users achieve a healthier lifestyle, GOQii is the first full-stack preventive health and fitness app to integrate UHT rewards. It was also the first company to introduce health wearables in India and draws on over 5 billion data points to provide a complete preventative care solution.
UHT is the latest to announce its entry into the Telegram and TON ecosystem with its quiz-based game, following the early success of projects like Notcoin and Hamster Kombat. The project has had a ‘web3’ beta version of the GOQii platform live, with almost 200,000 active wallets interacting and testing, according to data from Dappradar.
In UHT’s new ‘Health Adventure’ game, users are required to answer a set of health and wellness related questions everyday as well as complete quests to rake up points on a global leaderboard. Agastya Samat, CEO and co-founder of Universal Health Token said “that the points users generate will be converted to a UHT token airdrop in the coming months.”
The project has pivoted away from clicker-gaming models on Telegram, as CEO and co-founder Agastya Samat aims to utilise the Telegram meta in line with the company’s ethos, which is education, health and wellness, providing a more practical utility in the long term.
