ExoWorld Preview: A Next-Gen MMORPG of Inter-Galactic Warfare Powered by Unreal Engine 5

ExoWorld is an MMORPG built on the VECHAIN and Elysium blockchain and is driven by the web3 gaming platform. Based on the Play to Earn mechanics, players explore the galactic vastness in their Exo suits as they fight competitors, build factions, and create trade opportunities between planets. Offering a unique fusion of Unreal Engine 5.2 gameplay mechanics and economic initiatives. ExoWorlds presents a novel platform for users to enjoy competitive battles and explore various earning opportunities in the ExoWorld metaverse.

ExoWorld Gameplay Mechanics and the Storyline

The ExoWorld gameplay is inspired by several variables, including character species, guilds, items, storyline paths, competition level, and player skills. As all these factors will depend on the player and their choices, the general gameplay is smooth, lag-free, and near-realistic.

Players have the liberty to customize their character with their chosen weapons, which must also align with the character’s capabilities. Ranging from sheer brute strength to stealth and everything in between, the choice of characters can vary according to the competition and a player’s personal choices.

As each player must hone an exosuit to explore the intergalactic world, their choice of suit can vary according to each one’s capabilities. In addition to Class Zero – Equinox, which is a Free class, there are 6 others to choose from;

In addition to different suit classes, the game has five modes, where each one has a different objective and requires distinct strategies to win.

It’s a fast-paced game featuring intense combat as players engage in third-person shootouts to gather resources and win battles. Winning battles also advances players to a better position and brings them close to the ultimate goal of establishing their galactic empire.

From the initial gameplay, players have praised the super-responsive controls and satisfying gunplay. However, issues were noted by some players in character customization and map designs, which the developers fixed after the closure of the first beta access.

Overall, ExoWorlds, with its 122 unique worlds, provides a solid gameplay experience with decently good mechanics, leading to better player satisfaction. The game setting is unique as players have a vast world to explore and conquer, which means the game can extend for long hours. And since there’s NFT integration where even the planets can be owned in NFT form, it takes the P2E system to another level.

Web3 Integration and Metaverse Expanse

The players begin their game from the nomadic age and must evolve their game and character. With each level, the players unlock new possibilities and dangers at the same time. All the in-game transactions and records are stored on the blockchain and players must earn tokens by winning battles, completing quests, and challenges.

Everything a player owns in the game is reflected in their wallet connected with the metaverse. It’s an expansive universe where players engage with different in-game elements, including world types, factions, and evolution types.

There are core planets, frontier planets, and special planets in the game, all of which are also available in NFT form. As players explore these worlds, they can choose between space travel, ground exploration, and discovery.

“Stunning, Beautiful, Mesmerizing.” Players often used these words to describe the highly immersive ExoWorlds planet. The nicely built planets through Unreal Engine 5.2 components like Nanite and Procedural Content Generation are nothing short of an aesthetic marvel.

Player Interaction in ExoWorld

Since it’s a vast universe, players can interact with the environment and each other in multiple ways. From owning lands and customizing them according to their wishes to joining or creating guilds and clans, every player will find gaming in this metaverse engaging.

There are in-game social hubs where everyone can interact and socialize. In battle mode, there are PvP and PvE options, which present a real test of a player’s combat and strategy-making skills.

Factions, World Types, and Evolutions Types in ExoWorld

In addition to player-made guilds and clans, there are platform-built factions that players can join. Factions are alliances or groups in the ExoWorld universe with a special purpose and mission.

For instance, one of the factions is IRIDIUM. Players in this faction participate in peacekeeping on the planets and indulge in treaty negotiations. But they also have some special powers like self-healing and intangibility. Similarly, other factions will be revealed in the future as the game develops further.

World types define the basic characteristic traits of a planet. For instance, planets can be Icy, Rocky, Ocean, Terran, Tropical, Desert, etc. The third element is Evolution Types. While not much information is available on this, a website overview hints at different types of species that are present in the gameplay.

Closed Beta, What Went Down and How Was It?

Starting 2nd May, ExoWorld Closed Beta was launched wherein players from the community were asked to join. Access to closed beta was subject to the completion of some tasks, including staking and post-engagement. While players were invited from 2nd May, the game went live on 3rd May, which meant it only took one day for the developers to fill their quota for beta access.

The game was made available through Epic Games, where players, after downloading the game, had to connect their wallets. Some players live-streamed their gameplay after the closed beta release and gave everyone an opportunity to check out ExoWorld gameplay.

In between the closed beta, ExoWorld’s native token, $EXO, went for public sale, which was also a resounding success.
