Shrapnel Announces Shrappy Holidays 2024 – Play to Earn NFTs

Developer Neon Machine is gearing up to launch the Shrappy Holidays 2024 for their blockchain extraction FPS Shrapnel. This early access event comes with new features, various improvements, and exclusive rewards to earn. Let’s take a look!

What Is Shrapnel’s Shrappy Holidays 2024?

Shrappy Holidays 2024 is Shrapnel’s upcoming week-long event made in celebration of its community as well as for all the achievements reached by the team throughout this year. In this early access version, players can look forward to exclusive content, a surprise announcement, intense gameplay in the Sacrifice Zone, and even physical reward raffles.

It runs from November 18th, 11 AM PST, to November 25th, 11 AM PST, and requires an Extraction Pack to participate. There are 4 different types of Extraction Packs, and all of them can be bought from the studio through the game’s official marketplace. The cheapest pack is the Basic one for $9.99, purchasable via traditional payment methods. It grants you early access to limited-time playtests, 1 playable MEF Operator, and 1 Gear Pack. The Avalanche-powered game itself can be downloaded through the Epic Games Store and web3 native store HyperPlay.

What’s New in Shrappy Holidays?

The event overhauls the map into a festive-themed area, adding atmospheric fog, new textures, and layout changes, while bringing festive decorations and lighting, and covering environments with snow for a Christmas-y web3 gaming experience.

Next to these adjustments to the Sacrifice Zone, you will also get to try out 2 new weapons: the Type 42 Revolver, and CL7 MK II, the game’s 2nd Assault Rifle. The first version of one of the most highly-requested community features will also be included: controller support!

A variety of new rewards will be up for grabs during this holiday playtest by completing daily and event missions, and also by participating in raffles. NFT holders can look forward to earning bonus rewards. As for the prizes that everyone should have a chance of getting through gameplay and raffles, these will include weapon skins, weapon skin fragments, comic books, schematics, physical rewards, and a ‘very special’ Signature Edition skin, according to the official Medium blog post.
